Centrix out to export UK success

UK application monitoring vendor to spread its wings into continental Europe

Lewis Gee: We have very little coverage in the rest of Europe

Centrix Software has set its sights on developing a channel in mainland Europe and building on the success of its partner recruitment efforts in the UK.

The application monitoring software vendor has 21 UK partners and has now decided to turn its attention to the rest of the continent.

Lewis Gee, vice president for worldwide sales at Centrix, said: “We have very little
coverage in the rest of Europe and have decided to dip our toe in the water to see how much appetite there is for our products there.”

The firm recently launched an updated version of its WorkSpace 5 software suite, which is designed to give IT departments an insight into users’ application usage.

This information is then used to determine which applications to migrate as part of
virtual desktop deployments.

To support the launch, Gee said the firm is also planning to add a further four or five partners in the UK over the next two quarters.

“This time around the focus is on bringing on board the larger systems integrators and partners who are in a position to add services on top of selling the product,” said Gee.

Kelly Layton, marketing director at Centrix partner Cetus Solutions, said: “The market for desktop virtualisation is gathering pace throughout Europe, so I think now is a great time for Centrix to be turning their attention that way.”
