Microsoft seeks VARs for BPOS push

Software giant tasks C2000 with leading VAR hunt

Gautrey: Microsoft delighted to have C2000 leading VAR hunt

Software giant Microsoft is on the hunt for resellers to drive sales of its Business Productivity Online Standard (BPOS) suite.

The product group comprises a series of web-based collaboration applications, including Microsoft Exchange Online and Office Live Meeting, and the vendor has appointed Computer 2000 (C2000) to lead the search for resellers to help market it.

Lee Perkins, UK country manager at C2000, said the company will invest heavily in developing new programmes and marketing resources to support the recruitment drive.

Perkins said: “We believe there is a sizeable market out there for BPOS and see this as a major opportunity – for us and for SME resellers."

The company also plans to create “unique solutions” using BPOS in conjunction with its divisions Azlan and Brightstar – a move it said will provide resellers with “exciting value propositions”.

Simon Gautrey, software-plus-services lead at Microsoft UK, said: “Microsoft is delighted to see Computer 2000 supporting its channel of resellers by helping them enter this new era of technology, and guiding them to understand the true potential for their businesses offered by cloud applications.”
