Centresoft buy out talks begin

Centresoft's management has launched buy out talks with computer software group Eidos which has successfully completed its takeover of the distributor's parent Centregold. Eidos bid u17.1 million for the software and distribution group.

The Centresoft management buy out is being led by seven managers including MD Richard Steele, Andrew Waterhouse, the MD of the primary distribution operation PDQ, and their senior officers including the manager responsible for the computer system of both operations.

Charles Cornwall, Eidos' chief executive, has said he will look favourably on the bid and is more interested in the US Gold side of the business.
