Juniper moots Westcon deal

Vendor poised to sign european distribution deal

Juniper is in talks to sign a pan-European agreement with Westcon Group, according to sources close to the firms.

Westcon already works with the vendor in several European territories, but the duo currently have no relationship in the UK.

“Discussions are continuing for a pan-European contract,” said the source. “It wouldn’t upset Westcon’s Cisco business as the relationship would be conducted through Noxs, which is a separate subsidiary.”

Juniper’s UK distribution line-up currently comprises Azlan, Sphinx, Horizon equIP and, after its break-up with DNS Arrow, Computerlinks.

Andy Travers, UK and Ireland channel manager at Juniper, said: “I can confirm that Juniper and DNS Arrow have agreed to part company.”
