CCS Media set for a bumper year

VAR logs £4.5m sales during 'quiet' August period

Betts: I am confident that this will be our best ever year

VAR CCS Media has celebrated its most successful August in its 26-year history and is set for its best year to date.

The privately held firm, which has 14 offices across the UK, saw August turnover rocket 10 per cent to £4.5m, with gross profit leaping 16 per cent.

Terry Betts, managing director of CCS Media, said: “It has been our intention to continue to grow. This has been through taking on staff and extending product ranges within our existing vendor business.

“I am confident that this will be our best ever year and we are on track to hit between seven and eight per cent growth, despite the downturn.”

He added the firm intends to continue recruiting.

“At the moment a lot of companies are getting rid of staff and there are some good people out there looking for jobs,” he said. “I have no cap on the number of people I take on.

“In boom times the biggest problem companies have is that they are unable to recruit because of the skills shortage. I am investing in the business now when the talent is out there.”
