Fujitsu makes enterprising move with channel

Vendor appoints Simon Worsfold to oversee its channel and enterprise operations

Simon Worsfold: Looking forward to working with new and existing Fujitsu partners

Hardware giant Fujitsu has overhauled the management structure of its channel and enterprise sales arms in a bid to drive more business through its partners.

From now on, responsibility for the vendor’s channel and enterprise end user sales teams will fall under the remit of a single management team within its Technology Solutions Division (TSD).

Former Fujitsu sales director, Simon Worsfold, will head up the team in the newly-created role of channel and enterprise sales director.

The vendor claims the move will allow it to simplify its business development strategy and push more sales through its channel partners.

Worsfold said: “I am looking forward to working with our existing channel partners and building on and strengthening our relationships. We will also be eager to build new partnerships with resellers that share our vision and commitment to excellence and profitable business development.”

Michael Keegan, managing director of Fujitsu TSD, said the company’s unified sales structure will open up opportunities within the enterprise storage and server markets for partners.

He explained: “It will enable us to present them [channel partners] with opportunities to create differentiated value propositions that build on Fujitsu’s enterprise server and storage solutions and on the professional services and cloud computing offerings that we are now bringing to market.”
