Nimans struck by Gamma ray

Carrier adds Salford-based comms specialist to distribution stable

Mark Curtis-Wood: We can can play a frontline role in helping dealers capitalise on SIP's lucrative revenue streams

Nimans has leapt into the SIP trunking space after sealing a distribution deal with Gamma Telecom.

The Mancunian distributor announced today that it has passed the carrier's sales, technical and operational accreditation process. Nimans' recently appointed head of networks Mark Curtis-Wood revealed the distributor believes there are five million ISDN lines in the UK, and just 120,000 SIP trunks.

"SIP will continue to gain market share and, thanks to our partnership with Gamma, we can play a frontline role in helping dealers capitalise on the lucrative revenue streams available," he added.

Curtis-Wood claimed the new partnership would prove complementary to the distributor's voice hardware portfolio, adding that Nimans has the network services strength to get Gamma sales off to a flying start.

"This partnership builds on our strong PBX pedigree and as we already have skilled network services and technical support teams in place, we can hit the ground running with this new service," said Curtis-Wood.

"As a financially secure company with a rich trading heritage, we put great emphasis on providing exceptional levels of service. Working with Gamma is another key element of our extensive network services proposition. They share our business values and objectives."
