C2000 boosts channel credit with cash injection
Distribution behemoth now offering close to £1bn credit every month
Cash booster: C2000 is offering an extra £100m a month
Computer 2000 (C2000) is injecting an extra £100m a month of credit into the channel to soften the blow of the VAT increase next year.
The extra credit is in addition to the £320m increase that the distribution giant has made over the past 12 months and brings the total credit facilities provided to its resellers to close to £1bn per month.
Andy Dow, group marketing director at C2000, said the money will help resellers trade effectively in 2011.
“Over the past year, the whole channel has faced considerable financial challenges,” he said. “We responded by making additional credit available to resellers so that they could make the most of their opportunities and trade effectively.
“This additional and very significant injection of capital will ensure that they can manage their way through the January VAT increase and continue to seek out new business with confidence to grow their sales. It demonstrates our absolute commitment and confidence in our reseller partners, the market and our ability to drive growth for the whole channel.”
