RES Software hunts SIs for push into the enterprise

Dutch workspace management vendor looks to recruit big names as it strives to become a global brand

Above and beyond: RES Software is searching for more systems integrators to widen its partner network

Workspace management vendor RES Software is on the hunt for systems integrators (SIs) to support its push into the enterprise space.

The vendor said increasing the number of SIs signed up to its partner programme was a “logical next step” for a company that wants to play in bigger-sized markets.

Kees van Bekkum, vice president for EMEA at RES Software, said: “For the past couple of years we have focused on SMEs, which is a market where you see a lot of VARs.

“The logical next step for us is to target the enterprise, and that means recruiting more SIs,” he added.

In terms of the size of partners it hopes to attract, van Bekkum cites SIs CapGemini and Atos Origin as examples, but said the firm would not discount partnering with smaller ones.

“There are smaller SIs that specialise in particular technologies, such as desktop virtualisation, which would be of interest,” he said. "There are also VARs that have a strong presence in the enterprise, who we would consider, too. "

News of the the recruitment drive comes hot on the heels of the vendor’s corporate rebrand, which has seen its flagship products, PowerFuse and Wisdom, renamed Workspace Manager and Automation Manager, respectively.

Van Bekkum said the decision to rebrand the products had been warmly received by partners.

“Overall, the reason for the rebrand was to position ourselves as a global brand, rather than a Dutch company, and make the products more self-explanatory,” he added.
