Distributor aims to shake up the market and grow sales

Imago has signed up to distribute videoconferencing offerings from the self-styled personal telepresence vendor Vidyo.

According to the video comms distributor, it will be the sole distributor of Vidyo’s entire line of VidyoConferencing products in the UK.

Ian Vickerage, managing director at Imago, said Vidyo products have strong growth potential.

“It is only the second end point and architecture vendor that we have introduced to the UK market since we started,” he said.

“We believe that Vidyo’s game-changing approach and unique product is shaking up the status quo and making the potential market much bigger.”

According to Vickerage, Vidyo offers high-definition, full-screen multi-party conferences at up to 60 frames per second via the internet on a range of devices with no perceived latency.

Eric le Guiniec, general manager for EMEA at Vidyo, said he believed that businesses want to upgrade to more affordable and flexible videoconferencing.

Imago has also just announced that a new reseller web site and e-commerce service will be rolled out to the UK channel 1 December.
