Aggressive Exclusive Networks makes another purchase
Pan-European VAD is not ruling out further UK acquisitions after buying Norwegian outfit Trygg Data
After snapping up Arc Technology last year, French VAD Exclusive Networks has made a Norwegian acquisition and is in talks with multiple targets in Germany.
The private equity-backed distributor, which is gunning for €300m (£254m) turnover by 2013, this morning inked a deal to buy Gardermoen-based Fortinet distributor Trygg Data.
This completes its coverage of the Nordics and the firm is now looking to plug the only remaining gap in its western European portfolio – Germany – by the first quarter of 2011.
Arc was recently rebranded under the Exclusive Networks banner and channel sources have suggested the Paris-based firm may be considering another UK purchase.
Talking to CRN, Exclusive Networks chief executive Olivier Breittmayer said the distributor was “not proactively looking in the UK” but would still consider opportunities as and when they arose.
“We are quite happy with what we have with Arc,” he said.
“Germany is the priority for us. It is the biggest market in Europe along with the UK. If we want to be a pan-European player, we need to be there.”
Trygg Data works with a small handful of security vendors including Fortinet, Radware, Cryptocard and SecurEnvoy, has eight staff and a turnover of just over €3m.
“We expect to add more people and vendors and double its revenue next year,” said Breittmayer.
