Arrow to speed Voltaire's UK enlightenment
Networking vendor appoints first UK distributor
Networking vendor Voltaire has appointed Arrow ECS as its first UK distributor.
The deal will see Arrow marketing the vendor's range of Infiniband, 10GbE and Ethernet switching products to its UK reseller base.
Voltaire claims its products are used by 30 per cent of the Fortune 100 list of companies, and has enlisted Arrow to target VARs working in the financial sector.
The distribution deal follows on from Voltaire's acquisition by server and storage connectivity specialist Mellanox for $218m (£140m) yesterday.
Patrick Guay, executive vice president for global sales at Voltaire, said: "Speed is increasingly a differentiator for us in the financial services sector, as is the ability to handle increasing volumes of data.
"Its well-established leadership in the UK distribution market made Arrow ECS a logical distributor of choice for our company," he added.
Steve Pearce, UK managing director for Arrow ECS, said: "Our reach into the financial services market in the UK puts us right at the forefront of helping take Voltaire products to market."
