Apple Premium Reseller (APR) Western Computer will open its largest retail store to date later this week in Leamington Spa.

The 1,600 sq foot retail outlet will be the fifth store the firm has opened since acquiring its APR status five years ago. It already has branches in Bristol, Cheltenham, Oxford and Swindon.

Western Computer has appointed Paul Mills, store manager at its Cheltenham shop, to run its Leamington Spa branch.

Mills cited the growing and changing demand for Apple products for enabling the company to open a new store each year.

"A lot of our early success came from people wanting iPods and accessories," explained Mills. "The iPad and iPhone have been big devices for us and have brought customers in that have never considered buying an Apple product before."

Mills said the company will work with Apple to find a suitable site for its sixth retail outlet.

He added: "We do not know where or when the next one will open, but we will be looking at areas between where our current stores are and London."
