Stone picks Rolls-Royce man to steer operations

Paul Hollinshead replaces David Wilcox as PC builder's group operations director

PC builder Stone Group has taken on former Rolls-Royce manager Paul Hollinshead to head up its operations.

In his role as group operations director, Hollinshead has been tasked with cementing Stone’s position as the UK’s largest privately owned PC manufacturer and streamlining its business processes.

Hollinshead, who replaces the recently departed David Wilcox, spent 21 years at Rolls-Royce, eight of those in management roles. He was also a senior lecturer at Derby Business School.

Stone posted revenue of £69.2m in its last financial year and recently opened its new 100,000-square-foot ‘Granite One Hundred' manufacturing production line and office in the West Midlands.

Hollinshead said: “I am delighted to be joining Stone at such an exciting time. The past year has been significant for the business in terms of revenue growth and the move to the new state-of-the art manufacturing and office facility, Granite One Hundred.”

Stone chief executive James Bird (pictured) said: “The team at Stone is proud to welcome Paul on board. With his excellent track record in taking businesses to the next level, we are confident that Paul will help us realise our aggressive growth targets for the next financial year and beyond.”
