CCI Distribution steadies for growth

Distributor bucks recession by signing five graduates and six vendors in Q4

CCI Distribution has taken on five new graduates as it prepares for growth in 2011.

The storage and peripherals distributor is keen to grow its way out of the recession and has ambitious plans for 2011 and beyond.

Its latest batch of graduates – Aman Kundi, Michael Riley, James McNally, Martin Whincup and Anita Idisi - are to be based at its Harrogate headquarters, and will be placed in the e-tail sales, technical, commercial operations and marketing teams respectively.

The latest recruits will swell company headcount to 65, spread across its Harrogate office and a southern sales office in Basingstoke.

Paul Roughley, managing director of CCI, said: “I was keen to support our management team with the next generation of talent and our first graduate scheme offered us the rare chance to recruit from the cream of this year’s graduates.

“We are thrilled to be welcoming these bright individuals into our team. Hopefully they will build strong careers at CCI, helping us fulfil our aim of being the UK’s leading independent IT distributor.”

In separate news, the distributor is ending 2010 on a high after signing six brands in Q4 – Intellinet, CradlePoint, Muc-Off, Aiptek, Storex and Dicota. They will join CCI’s existing vendors including LG, Sony and Toshiba.
