Telindus bags Virgin deal
Integrator picked for managed service support of carrier's network
Virgin Media has picked long-term ally Telindus to oversee the management of its UK network.
The Camberley-based integrator has won a multi-year managed service contract to support the carrier's various data network platforms from vendors including Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent and Motorola. Part of Telindus' brief is to offer Virgin a single point of contact for all its network management needs.
The carrier, which has worked with Telindus for a number of years, is keen to ensure both business and consumer customers enjoy a top-performing network, even at peak times.
Paul Buttery, chief customer and networks officer at Virgin Media, said: "It is absolutely imperative to our customers and to us that our network is working at peak performance at all times.
"The level of service and commitment offered to us by Telindus has helped us achieve this over a number of years and we believe that Telindus is the perfect partner to help us grow our business in the future."
Telindus UK managing director Mark Hutchinson claimed today's announcement would see his firm's long-standing relationship with Virgin go from strength to strength.
"This opportunity will extend the partnership between our two companies; it paves the way for a new and dynamic approach to delivering service, by aligning services to business requirements and Virgin Media's long-term strategic objectives."
