Fujitsu VARs urged to join tablet PC revolution

Vendor advises partners to capitalise on tablet PC popularity

Hardware vendor Fujitsu is urging partners to use the iPad's success as a tool to drive sales of its convertible notebook product.

Fujitsu's Lifebook T580 can be operated via a keyboard, touchscreen or stylus, and the vendor is calling on partners to capitalise on the tablet PC trend to ramp up sales of the device.

Ian Leigh, channel marketing and development manager for Fujitsu, explained: "Some PC vendors are trying to capitalise on the success of the Apple iPad, but the convertible PC format is a much better option for serious business users.

"We think resellers can capitalise on the higher levels of interest being generated by the slate format to boost their convertible sales."

Reinforcing its commitment to the rest of its notebook PC range, the vendor has also announced that zero per cent finance will be available to partners on all its Lifebook models until the end of next March.
