Spamina has the Power for UK expansion
Spanish email security vendor recruits CDG UK sales director Daniel Power to launch firm in this country
Email security player Spamina has nabbed Daniel Power, former sales director of distributor CDG UK, to lead its charge into this country.
The vendor is based in Barcelona, and also runs offices in Madrid, Paris, Milan, San Francisco, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Mexico City. The opening of new digs in Reading marks its first foray onto these shores.
Spamina's cloud-based wares are predominantly targeted at the SMB space and include the Email Service and Email Firewall ranges. The vendor claims its products feature in 10 million mailboxes across the globe.
Power has been brought in as UK country manager and tasked with building relationships with resellers and managed services providers. He joins from virtualisation-specialised distributor CDG UK and, during a 25-year career, he has also held senior roles at software houses LANDesk, KACE and PowerQuest.
"UK firms are well aware of the security risks to corporate email and, as such, represent one of the most lucrative markets in Europe for email security solutions," said Power.
"However, to date, most firms have adopted point solutions that provide a piecemeal and hard-to-manage approach to the problem. We intend to change this with our comprehensive, proven and fully integrated email security offering."
