McAfee snags another Juniper exec

David Small is second EMEA executive to join security giant in last quarter

Security giant McAfee has continued its raid of rival Juniper's executives by appointing David Small as vice president of its EMEA channel and commercial business.

Incumbent EMEA vice president Georges Millet has decided to ‘pursue other business opportunities’, revealed McAfee.

Small, who previously worked as vice president of EMEA channel sales at Juniper, will report to former Juniper colleague and McAfee EMEA president Gert-Jan Schenk, who was poached by McAfee last October.

“David Small is a strong channel professional who brings to McAfee more than 20 years of global sales and marketing experience in security, hardware and networking," said Schenk.

“His background and expertise in the networking space, in particular, will help McAfee to further its leadership position in the network security market in EMEA. His ability to grow business and drive strategy, make him an excellent addition to our team.”

Small said: “McAfee has a very strong product portfolio and an incredible network of partners and alliances across its business. The company has made great strides and has committed itself to making its channel partners profitable. I’m excited to be a part of the leadership team and look forward to growing its EMEA business.”
