Axonex eyes 2011 growth

Cisco reseller looks to expand office space and makes two senior appointments

Ambitious reseller Axonex has boosted its headcount and is planning to open more regional offices as it looks to growth this year.

The Cheltenham-based Cisco partner has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of former Cisco and Intel senior European marketing executive Simon Jacobson as head of marketing.

Jacobson’s role will be to develop and manage the Axonex brand. Axonex has also appointed Jon Beamish as business development manager, whose role will be to focus on growing business in existing and new accounts across the entire Cisco-based portfolio.

On top of the appointments, the firm is planning to open extra regional offices in London and South Wales, and has recently won three major new contracts with Mitsubishi, Premiere and Ultra Electronics.

Andy Peters-Smith, managing director of Axonex, said: "2010 saw Axonex establish itself as number one Cisco reseller and trusted business partner to the region’s SME companies.

“Our customers appreciate how Axonex advises and supplies them with the most effective communications and networking solutions in these challenging economic times, to help enhance their productivity and business efficiency.

“Adding further senior management capability and skills, especially developing our brand, customer-focused marketing and social networking, will ensure Axonex is well positioned for continued growth in 2011,” he said.
