Capita doubles up in boardroom reshuffle
Software and services firm appoints joint COOs as long-standing operations man Pilling departs
Capita has promoted two divisional directors to the role of joint chief operating officers, with incumbent Simon Pilling leaving after 11 years with the firm.
The software and services titan has tasked Vic Gysin and Andy Parker with overseeing group operations. Gysin, who has been with the company eight years, moves on from his role as director of Capita's Insurance and Investor Services division. Parker, who joined the firm in 2001, previously headed up its ICT, Health and Business Services division. Both men join Capita's board of directors.
Leaving the top table to make way for them is Simon Pilling, who arrived at Capita in 1999 and has served as chief operating officer since 2006. Chief executive Paul Pindar hailed Pilling's contribution during his tenure at the company, drawing particular attention to the former operational chief's role in establishing Capita's Indian operations.
"These changes to the board are being made to support the next stage of our continued growth," added Pindar. "Both Vic Gysin and Andy Parker have strong operational and commercial experience, build excellent working relationships with clients and have proved exceptional leaders of their respective divisions."
