NBG rebrands to Network Group
UK's largest reseller buying group is looking to double membership in 2011
The Network Buying Group (NBG) has kicked off 2011 with a new name, web site and logo.
From today, NBG will simply be known as Network Group, as it looks to spruce up its image and grow its membership from 50 to 100 this year.
It has also gained a new strapline: ‘Strength in Numbers,’ which Wayne Cockerill, chairman of the group, said reflects its aims.
“[The strapline] reflects not only the Group’s heritage in the channel, but also demonstrates our commitment to working together in a collaborative way to drive sales and profit for our members, as well as ensuring we give our resellers a strong voice in the channel,” he said.
Phylip Morgan, managing director of Network Group, added: “By dropping the ‘Buying’ from the group name, we are making it clear that we are emphasising the range of support that we give to members, across marketing, sales and collaboration in addition to our key strength of purchasing for the group.
Although of course this remains a core focus for us, we now also have a range of business tools in place to support our members and a strategy that delivers results.’
Morgan said that as well as the traditional quarterly campaigns and incentives in place with key vendors, Network Group members can get access to their own-branded e-commerce web site featuring live feeds from the Group’s distributors with the latest stock information, pricing and details.
He said the group will also be offering an “exciting” new cloud proposition to its members to help them stay ahead of the competition.
