Servium mourns loss of account manager
Promising sales exec Mark Sheldon passed away suddenly this month
VAR Servium is mourning the loss of one of its promising sales execs who tragically passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 36 on 7 January.
Mark Sheldon had worked at Servium as an account manager for just over 13 months.
Prior to that he had held positions at various other UK resellers including senior account manager at Point to Point, account manager at Esteem Systems and desk account manager at Equanet. He also worked at Ultima Business Solutions.
Paul Barlow, managing director of Servium, said: “I had the pleasure of working with Mark at Equanet and again at Servium. After 13 years of working in the channel Mark had a great understanding of IT, in particular his knowledge around virtualisation was outstanding.
“More importantly, he was one of the most engaging and cheerful people I have ever known and I’m deeply saddened by his sudden passing. He was one of the good guys and will be greatly missed,” Barlow added.
Sara Yirrell, editor of CRN, added: “The whole team at CRN would also like to pass on our condolences to Mark’s family, friends and colleagues.”
The Sheldon family have set up a justgiving site to raise money for Lifeblood: The Thrombosis Charity in Mark's memory. To donate please click here.
