Juniper announces senior management shake up
Networking vendor poaches Microsoft APAC president for worldwide channel role
Juniper Networks has shaken up it senior management team, handing one long-standing exec a new role and poaching another from Microsoft.
The networking vendor confirmed that former Microsoft APAC head, Emilio Umeoka, has been given the role of senior vice president for worldwide partners.
In his new role, Umeoka will be responsible for the firm's global channel strategy and partner network.
John Morris, executive vice president for field operations at Juniper, said: "Under Umeoka's leadership, we plan to build on the success of our worldwide partner organisation and ensure best practices, programmes and resources are shared throughout our global Juniper partner community."
Meanwhile, David Helfer, who joined Juniper in 2000, has been handed the role of vice president of partners for EMEA.
Prior to this, Helfer had served as vice president of strategic alliances at the firm, and in his new role will be overseeing Juniper's partner recruitment and training activities across EMEA.
"Juniper Networks has consistently invested in every aspect of our distribution and reseller community and I look forward to expanding the role to maintain profitability and [the] support we provide our partners in the enterprise and service provider markets," said Helfer.
