RES Software adds management muscle
Ambitious workspace management vendor raids rivals to fill seven new roles
RES Software has bolstered the size of its UK management team by poaching a slew of executives from other channel firms, including VMware, Microsoft and Arrow ECS.
The workspace management vendor has created seven new roles within its technical, sales and business development teams to support its 2011 growth plans, which kick-started last year with the firm's corporate rebranding.
Chris Hammans, UK regional director at RES Software, explained: "As part of our anticipated growth in 2011, we have put together a top-notch team that can deliver the solutions that customers are crying out for around desktop management and transformation projects."
The firm's most high-profile appointment is former VMware boss, Steve Jackson, who has been handed the role of director for strategic alliances and business development within EMEA.
He is joined by former Arrow ECS marketing manager, Sarah Wyatt, who will fulfil a similar role at RES, and several other recruits from Microsoft and Wyse within the firm's pre-sales and account management departments.
"Our team will support and expand on our existing sales, as well as ensure that our partners benefit from the increased opportunities that we see coming through the year," added Hammans.
