3stepIT lands in NORAM with new Texas HQ
The reseller simultaneously launches its datacentre lifecycle services division
Nordic group 3stepIT has made a strategic expansion into NORAM as the company aims to deliver enhanced sustainable IT lifecycle services.
The reseller’s new Texas headquarters, together with dedicated sales hubs across the US and Canada, will aim to provide its regional clients with the same delivery model as in Europe.
The company also intends to open a dedicated refurbishment centre in the US by the end of 2025.
This territorial growth was supported by BNP Paribas 3 Step IT, a joint venture formed in 2019 with French bank BNP Paribas.
The two now manage more than four million IT assets.
The firm also announced it is growing its teams of over 500 employees with the launch of a datacentre lifecycle services division, which already includes different corporate technology and IT devices.
The newly added hirees will also aim to facilitate new campaigns across North America and Europe, as well as expand the company’s delivery capabilities in both territories.
“Entering the North American market represents a significant milestone for 3stepIT,” said Jakob Lagander its CEO.
“The expansion into datacentres also marks an important step towards offering our customers complete end-to-end lifecycle services in a sector that sits at the very heart of conversations around the impact of technology on the environment.
“By integrating sustainable practices with operational efficiency through our services, we aim to address these challenges head-on while supporting our customers’ growth plans.”
Jonas Rosqvist, global chief expansion officer at 3stepIT, added: “We are excited to enter the North American market at this pivotal time of rapid datacentre growth, driven by the increasing demands of AI and advanced computing.”
Founded in 1997, this is the first time the Helsinki-based reseller ventures outside the Nordics, as the Finnish company has been operating in Norway, Denmark, and Finland until now.
Through its joint venture with BNP Paribas, the company is also present in the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
