Advania expands multi-tenant sovereign AI cloud across all markets
"We are setting a new standard for sovereign AI in Europe,” said Advania CEO
Advania’s board of directors has approved the rollout of multi-tenant sovereign AI clouds across its seven operating countries, following proven setups in Sweden and Iceland.
This decision will give Advania’s customers the opportunity to offer companies and public sector organisations the tools to securely use their critical and sensitive data, while ensuring compliance with national regulations.
As AI solutions become more common for productivity and automation, the VAR will look to deliver a complete and accessible AI portfolio that goes beyond basic tools.
To deliver on its strategy, the business draws on the buyout of specialised HPC and AI infrastructure platform Gompute in August, which already operates sovereign AI cloud infrastructure in Sweden and Iceland.
The acquisition of The AI Framework in July also helped consolidate Advania’s position in the AI space, from infrastructure to advisory by way of strategy and execution.
As the firm’s UK CEO recently told CRN, the incorporation of new companies adds solutions across all territories.
"We are setting a new standard for sovereign AI in Europe, ensuring that organisations adopt AI on their own terms, with their data secured at home,” said Hege Støre, CEO of Advania.
“The demand is here now, and organisations need sovereign and scalable solutions today to gain the cost efficiencies and growth opportunities that turn AI into a true competitive advantage."
Michael Bruun, board member of Advania and global co-head of private equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, added: "The decision to expand sovereign AI cloud capabilities across all markets underscores Advania’s differentiated ability to help European organisations realise the full value of AI.
"With the combination of local presence, proven infrastructure and advisory expertise, Advania is uniquely positioned to help organisations realise the benefits of AI in a secure and cost-efficient way.”
This announcement comes amid growing discussions around cloud repatriation across the channel.
The company’s UK branch ranks number 48 in CRN’s Top VARs list.
