BDR Group adds an ‘Eloquent’ touch to its tech portfolio
BDR’s two-year M&A hiatus has come to an end with its takeover of Eloquent Technologies
IT and telecoms specialist BDR Group has added cybersecurity and cloud services provider Eloquent Technologies to its growing list of M&A deals.
The acquisition marks another significant milestone in BDR’s 2025 growth strategy, expanding its expertise and presence within the professional services sector.
Founded in 2009, Taunton-based Eloquent’s expertise lies in designing IT infrastructures and cyber frameworks that support compliance, scalability, and innovation for legal, financial, and consultancy firms.
The addition of Eloquent strengthens BDR Group’s existing foothold in the cyber and cloud services space and complements its growth within professional services.
“BDR is pleased to continue its M&A plans for 2025 with the acquisition of Eloquent; an outstanding, customer-centric business deploying the latest technologies into the legal and professional services sectors,” said BDR CEO Malek Rahimi.
The Stratford-HQ group was established in 1991 and is a privately-owned, family-run business with a headcount of 200 people.
It has been successfully completing mergers and acquisitions since 2010.
Prior to Eloquent, BDR’s last acquisition was in 2023 with YTS, its fourth buyout that year.
Eloquent will continue to operate as a stand-alone business within the BDR portfolio, ensuring continuity for its clients while benefiting from the scale, resources, and innovation that come from being part of the BDR ecosystem.
David Ford, managing director of Eloquent, added: “After building the business over the past 15 years, it was incredibly important to me to find the right home for it, one that would continue to look after our clients with the same dedication and care.
“In BDR Group, we’ve found a family-run business that shares our values, puts customer service at the heart of everything they do, and is committed to continuing what we’ve built. I’m confident our clients are in excellent hands moving forward.”
