Bechtle expands Dutch footprint with E-Storage buyout
The acquisition brings 38 new employees and €23m in revenue
Bechtle has acquired Netherlands-based IT service provider E-Storage to boost its data infrastructure management portfolio.
Established in 1999, the newly purchased company brings 38 employees and €23m (£19.62m) in revenue to Bechtle.
In addition to working in data infrastructure management, E-storage also deals with availability services, data migration management, and cyber recovery for on-premises and cloud environments.
The organisation’s two operative entities, E-Storage BV and E-Storage Solutions BV, will be fully integrated into Bechtle subsidiary, PQR.
Also Netherlands-based, PQR, which was acquired by Bechtle in 2022, is a system-house that provides IT consulting, hardware and software resale, and managed hybrid-cloud services.
Koen Timmermans, responsible for sales at E-Storage, and Frans Bank, the firm’s operations manager, will be moving to PQR.
“The acquisition of E-Storage isn’t just the perfect addition to our extensive services portfolio within the Bechtle Group, it also cements our position as a future-facing IT partner in the fields of hybrid IT and the modern world of work,” said Marijke Krist, VP Netherlands at Bechtle.
Marco Lesmeister, MD at PQR, added: “E-Storage is a key player in the Dutch IT industry and a great asset to the Bechtle Group.
“Its highly secure data infrastructure and cyber recovery management solutions are the perfect addition to our portfolio.
“Together, we offer our customers tailored solutions to meet the highest standards such as NIS2 and DORA.”
With this latest acquisition, Bechtle now employs 330 people in Utrecht, and 800 across the Netherlands.
The VAR has been involved in the country with its subsidiary Bechtle direct since 1998 and since 2006 with ARP, its e-commerce subsidiary which it purchased in 2003.
In addition to Utrecht, it now has a presence in Maastricht, Eindhoven, ’s-Hertogenbosch, and Hoofddorp.
This move also represents the reseller’s fourth European acquisition within the last 12 months.
In October 2024, the company pulled off a double swoop in the UK, with the buyouts of Qolcom and DriveWorks.
In July last year, it purchased Italian IT solutions provider Magnetic Media Network (MMN).
Bechtle’s UK arm ranks number 35 in CRN’s Top VARs 2025 list.
