CDW names Trevor Nickolls corporate sales director following solid financial results
The channel vet leaves SCC within a year of joining
IT vet Trevor Nickolls has joined CDW as its new commercial director for sales to expand the company's strategy, amid a wider commercial reshuffle.
As corporate sales director at CDW, he will be reporting to Kevin Stavers, UK VP of sales and solutions.
“CDW’s dynamic culture and talented team made it the perfect place to grow and make an impact,” Nickolls told CRN.
A CDW spokesperson exclusively shared with CRN that “Trevor brings a proven track record of driving growth, building high-performing teams, and fostering strong customer relationships.
“His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to expand our corporate sales strategy, and we look forward to the impact he will make."
The channel expert brings 26 years of experience, starting his IT career as a sales manager for Computacenter in 1998.
He stayed there four years before moving to MicroWarehouse as a sales manager.
In 2005, he became field sales manager for DGSi Business.
A year later, he onboarded with Storm Technologies as sales manager.
He earned his spurs at the firm, stepping up as sales director seven and a half years later.
Nickolls held this position for another seven and a half years, before taking on the role of sector director of UK growth and enterprise for Computacenter in 2021.
Last year, he became director of financial services at SCC.
Nickolls’ appointment comes amid a commercial reshuffle at CDW, which saw several promotions.
Pradeep Anbudaiyan was named director of commercial operations at CDW UK this January.
Catherine Hughes also stepped up as head of inside sales earlier this year.
Besides new hires, CDW saw several vets and channel stalwarts depart the company within the last few months, including CDW UK CTO Carl Lawton in November 2024, as well as JD Hupp, MD of CDW UK and International, in December.
