WATCH: CRN Channel Awards Q&A with Truly SMB, winner of MSP of the Year (sub £10m)

New entrant Truly SMB took home the trophy for MSP of the Year (sub £10m) at the 2025 Channel Awards. After the dust had settled, CRN interviewed CEO Tim Rookes, to get his thoughts on the well-deserved win

Truly SMB has capped off a milestone year by taking home MSP of the Year (sub £10m) at the Channel Awards 2025.

Speaking after the win, CEO Tim Rookes said the recognition reflects the effort the entire business has put in over the past twelve months. “This just tops off the year for us,” he said. “Everyone's worked so hard at Truly SMB. It just feels absolutely amazing.”

Rookes said the award will take pride of place back at headquarters. “Probably on the reception desk so everyone that comes to see us can see it as soon as they walk in,” he said.

Asked what advice he would offer to other MSPs considering an entry, he kept it simple: “Just go for it. You just never know. Submit your entry because you could be a winner.”

He also noted the significance of the Channel Awards brand within the wider tech ecosystem.

“I think it's really important because everyone knows CRN even if you're outside of the industry. It's such an important award for the channel. It carries a lot of weight. So, yeah, very important.”

Reflecting on the night itself, Rookes said one of the highlights was celebrating among peers and long-standing partners. “Probably just getting to sit with some other channel members that have supported us,” he said.

“We sat on Pax8's table. They have been a great supporter and we just enjoyed the whole evening with the channel.”
