Commvault signs global partnership with Kyndryl
The new tie-up will also involve Pure Storage to help address with evolving cyber regulations
Cyber resilience and data protection vendor Commvault has teamed up with Kyndryl to address the threat of cyberattacks around the world.
Under this partnership, Commvault and Kyndryl will collaborate with Pure Storage to assist organisations in complying with regulations such as the EU’s DORA, NIS2, PSD2, the US’ NYDFS NYCRR 500, and Australia’s APRA CPS 230.
The offerings provided by Commvault and Pure Storage will aim to enable automated and continuous testing for cyber recovery, such as Commvault Cleanroom Recovery within both public cloud environments and on-premises isolated recovery environments managed by Kyndryl.
Kyndryl’s portfolio of cyber resiliency services, which already includes Incident Recovery Services, including Cyber Incident Recovery, Managed Backup Services, and Hybrid Platform Recovery, will be strengthened by the partnership with the two vendors.
“Cyber preparedness is no longer regarded as optional for global organisations; it is mandatory,” said Allen Downs, VP of security and resiliency services at Kyndryl.
“Through this collaboration with Commvault and Pure Storage, we are further positioned to assist some of the world’s most esteemed organisations in completely redefining their data protection strategies.”
Alan Atkinson, chief partner officer at Commvault, added: “Our partnership with Kyndryl is built to address the biggest challenges facing the enterprise today, such as the persistent threat of cyberattacks, including ransomware, and the increasing complexity of managing massive data growth across multi-cloud environments.
“When combined with the innovative Pure Storage platform, the three companies are together helping organisations stay resilient and prepared to act decisively in the face of disruption.”
The services will be accessible in NORAM, Europe, and APAC.
This marks the second global partnership made by Kyndryl this month, as the New York-based IT infrastructure services provider recently joined forces with Databricks to further assist customers with modernising their IT estate.
It also doubled down its focus on the UK with the opening of a tech centre in Liverpool four months ago.
