Exertis Cybersecurity has announced a new partnership with Avast to deliver “robust” security solutions to businesses across the UK and Ireland.

Launched on 14 April, the collaboration now allows Exertis Cybersecurity’s partners to have access to Avast’s solutions for endpoint protection and patch management.

All solutions are available with a monthly billing.

Exertis Cybersecurity will lean on the skills of its endpoint and threat intelligence team experienced in Avast and other complementary solutions to help partners employe practical measures and maintain a resilient cyber posture.

Avast’s products and services are available from the Exertis Flex marketplace, a self-service platform built for MSPs and MSSPs who are a part of the Exertis Flex programme.

“Avast’s arrival at Exertis Cybersecurity marks an exciting step forward in our mission to deliver robust, scalable security solutions to businesses across the UK and Ireland,” said Dominic Ryles, sales and alliance director at Exertis Cybersecurity.

“I’m thrilled to expand our portfolio with a proven leader in the endpoint space and look forward to working with our partners to integrate these solutions into their cybersecurity offerings and drive long-term protection to their customers.”

Emily Winn, digital UK head of channel sales UK at Gen Digital, added: "At Gen, we believe cybersecurity should be powerful yet easy to use.

“We’re excited to be working with the Exertis Cybersecurity team and their partners to deliver smarter, more adaptable cybersecurity solutions that empower businesses to thrive."

Gen Digital, formerly known as NortonLifeLock, owns Avast since the companies merged in 2022 for just over $9bn (£6.8bn).

This marks a renewal in Exertis’ cybersecurity focus, as the distributor recently made partnerships and acquisitions in the sustainability sector.

The firm recently partnered with Circular Computing to provide its customers and partners with refurbished PCs.

Last week, it acquired Apple service provider Group 8 to build on its circular economy capabilities.

The organisation also accelerated its emphasis on cloud last year with the addition of five new team members to the ranks of Exertis Cloud, in an attempt to “challenge distribution.”
