Dublin-based IT solutions provider FutureRange has acquired the managed IT services division of DigitalWell to boost its national presence and engineering capabilities.

The move also reportedly brings a “substantial portfolio” of managed services clients.

Following the merger, FutureRange will welcome 18 engineers from the newly purchased division, and create ten additional roles across service delivery, account management, and engineering.

“This acquisition deepens our technical expertise and broadens our regional reach,” said Danny McEntee, MD of FutureRange.

“We are delighted to welcome the DigitalWell managed IT services team and their clients to FutureRange. This is a decisive step in our growth journey.”

Ross Murray, CEO of DigitalWell, added: “This divestment allows us to focus fully on growth in our core areas of customer experience, communications and secure connectivity, where we see enormous potential.

“We have been very deliberate in choosing FutureRange as the right home for our managed IT services clients and team.”

FutureRange’s footprint now spans Dublin, Cork, and Limerick, supported by expertise in cybersecurity, cloud, and AI services.

This acquisition is the first one made by the firm since the funding from Cardinal Capital in March.

The investment organisation simultaneously purchased HLB Ireland, after which the two companies merged.

This purchase is also the business’ first one in three years, as FutureRange last purchased Limerick-based Garry IT back in 2022.

It is also the first acquisition made under McEntee, as he took over as MD of the Irish IT services provider in January 2025, when former MD Michael Rooney transitioned to the role of CTO.
