The Infinigate Group has chosen Marco van Kalleveen to become its new CEO, replacing Klaus Schlichtherle after eight years at the head of the company.
The new leader brings 27 years of experience across different industries.
A Harvard Business School graduate, he joined McKinsey & Company in 1998 and was elected partner in 2004.
In 2009, he became SVP at private equity firm Bain Capital.
He stayed there until 2014, when he was named member of the management board of TNT Express, an overnight parcel delivery company.
Van Kalleveen made his entry into the C-suite in 2016 when onboarding with LeasePlan as the company’s new COO.
Two years and a half later, DKV Mobility, a B2B platform for on the road payments and solutions, appointed him CEO.
He will become take the helm of Infinigate on 16 June 2025, following a process led by Graeme Watt, president of Infinigate’s board of directors and supported by Klaus Schlichtherle and members of the board.
“The organisation’s strong position in the cybersecurity market provides a great opportunity to accelerate growth as we work towards a stronger global leadership role with vendors and channel partners,” said Marco van Kalleveen.
“I can’t wait to meet everyone and onboard as quickly as possible and would like to extend my personal thanks to the board for putting their trust in me.”
Schlichtherle added: “Having accomplished considerable milestones, I feel now is a good time to hand over the reins of this leading business with further exponential growth prospects.
“We have achieved a lot together, most notably through the additions of Nuvias, Starlink, Vuzion and Wavelink to the Group, which have been critical in helping Infinigate establish itself as a global leader.
“I am excited to see what the next phase of growth under Marco’s leadership holds for the company.”
This announcement is the latest one in a series of leadership changes made by Infinigate within the last year.
In December 2024, Michael Frisby stepped down from his role as SVP of cloud alliances and GTM strategy at Infinigate Cloud.
In September last year, the Swiss distie appointed Watt as non-executive chairman.
Commenting on the announcement, Watt declared: “Marco is an exceptional leader with considerable experience in architecting successful strategies to manage and scale B2B businesses, supported by private equity sponsors.
“We are looking forward to working together to deliver on our ambitious growth plans.”
