Lenovo pairs up with Rejoose in landmark collaboration

Vendor becomes first tier-one player to sign partnership that will allow access to real-time emissions data

In a first-of-its-kind partnership, Lenovo has hooked up with Danish SaaS specialist Rejoose to bring real transparency to its IT supply chain.

The partnership means Lenovo is the first tier-one global hardware vendor to establish a structured partnership with Rejoose, which will enable direct access to product-level carbon emissions across its portfolio.

Under the partnership, Lenovo’s emissions data will be syndicated via Rejoose’s platform, automatically improving accuracy and delivery speed for end users, channel partners and vendors and cementing the vendor’s commitment to measurable climate action.

By sharing this information with its customers and partners, Lenovo will allow those partners and customers to make more transparent, data-driven procurement decisions that will support their own Net Zero goals with greater accuracy.

It also means that those customers will have faster access to reliable carbon impact data at the point of purchase, supporting both financial and environmental decision-making and reducing pressure on year-end audits.

Virginie Le Barbu, global sustainability director, International Markets at Lenovo, said: “Transparency is key to driving meaningful climate action. By partnering with Rejoose, we’re equipping our customers with the carbon insights they need to accelerate their journey towards Net Zero.”

Matthew Ruskin, CCO at Rejoose said the partnership really showed Lenovo’s commitment to the environment.

“Lenovo is certainly at the forefront of acquiring the best primary source data for its Product Carbon Footprint (PCF). By automating access to validated carbon data, Rejoose is helping organisations make smarter purchasing decisions, whether that’s reducing carbon cost, improving their environmental credentials, or aligning IT procurement with broader business transformation goals,” he said.

“Transparency is the key. Lenovo is the first tier one vendor to be doing this and it is the first step on an exciting journey. I’m sure it won’t be the last. This is actual change. We all talk about it, but the significance of this partnership shouldn’t be underestimated,” he added.
