Onnec takes business to Finland with fresh new entity
The company aims to tackle the country’s datacentre market
London-based reseller Onnec has consolidated its presence in the Nordics with the launch of its latest entity Finland OY.
This territorial development will aim to seize the country’s datacentre development opportunities.
Finland’s datacentre market size is predicted to rise by a compound annual growth of 29.12 per cent over the next four years, reaching $1.93bn (£1.5bn) by 2029, according to a recent report from research firm Arizton.
The company has already been present in the Nordics for over ten years, delivering datacentre services and solutions in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
“We’re thrilled to bring our exceptional services and support closer to our valued clients,” said Philippe Huinck, CEO of Onnec.
“This expansion is a testament to our commitment to supporting our customers wherever they grow, and it reflects our strategic focus on nurturing local talent and building strong partnerships in the region.”
Huinck was appointed CEO in May 2023, replacing Barry Horgan after the latter spent over 15 years as the head of the company.
Niklas Lindqvist, GM of Nordics at Onnec, added: “We see a whole spectrum of companies now looking to deploy datacentre capacity in the Nordics.
“As we expand our operations in Finland and support the industry’s growth in Northern Europe, Onnec is proud to play a pivotal role in providing efficient and scalable datacentre infrastructure solutions and services.”
The announcement comes as the reseller has been focused on its development in the Nordics over the last decade.
In 2023, it joined the Swedish datacentre association.
In 2024, it appointed Henrik Johansson as head of sales in the Nordics, signalling its intentions in the region.
Onnec ranks number 30 in CRN’s Top VARs list.
