Cloud commerce marketplace Pax8 has named John Rawl as its new regional sales manager for Ireland as it looks to deepen ties with MSPs across the country.

Rawl brings three decades of experience in the tech sector, starting his career as a sales executive at ComputerLand in 1995.

He then joined Dell, where he stayed for over ten years, assuming different leadership positions such as senior account manager of UK and Irish corporate sales, business development manager, inside sales manager, and sales manager.

In 2007, he joined SAP as senior sales manager, before stepping up as sales director and senior sales director.

He worked there for 11 years, before taking on roles such as sales manager and sales director at various companies like GoTo, LastPass, and Nostra.

In his new title, Rawl will aim to deepen ties Pax8 EMEA’s ties with Irish MSPs, in an effort to ensure that local market needs are understood and supported within the company’s broader strategy.

He will also focus on recruiting top talent, bringing on new partners, and broadening the organisation’s presence in the local MSP community.

“Building a local team based in our new office space, earning partner trust, and delivering value through tailored solutions and strategic alignment are my top priorities,” said Rawl.

“With Pax8’s technology and partner-first approach, we’re ready to make a meaningful impact in Ireland.”

Harald Nuij, Pax8 EMEA CEO, added: “[Rawl] brings to Pax8 his deep insight into the Irish MSP ecosystem, and has an impressive track record of driving relationships and partner transformations.

“His leadership as we expand our Irish presence will be invaluable and signals a major commitment to our partners in Ireland.”

Alongside Rawl’s appointment, Pax8 has also established a new office space in Dublin, which will serve as a base to drive local, in-person support, and partner collaboration.

This represents the second leadership appointment made by the firm within the last few months, as it named Craig Foster as its new CFO in April.

This announcement also comes as Nuij recently told CRN that the company was planning to expand in Ireland, Denmark, and Switzerland.
