US-based technology services and solutions provider Presidio has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Irish MSP Ergo as it seeks to boost its European growth.

The combination of the two companies will aim to deliver a portfolio that unites Presidio’s global infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation solutions with Ergo’s cloud managed services and IT resourcing.

It will also bring together shared technical talent, tools, and a unified approach to next-gen cloud and AI technologies in an effort to accelerate innovation and agility.

“Our team has built something special, and being a part of Presidio will give us the resources and scale to accelerate our growth while maintaining the culture and client-first approach that defines us,” said Paul McCann, CEO of Ergo.

Bob Cagnazzi, CEO of Presidio, added: “This [acquisition] will enhance our capabilities in a key market, add proven leadership and expertise, and position us to deliver even greater value to clients across the region.

“Acquiring Ergo will mark an important step in Presidio’s European growth.”

Brid Graham, the US reseller’s SVP of Europe and APAC, explained that the buyout of Ergo will allow the organisation to be a major player in the Irish market and better serve local and public sector clients, as well as “the hundreds of multinational firms” that have chosen Ireland as their European base.

The transaction is expected to close by year end 2025.

This mark Presidio’s fourth acquisition over the last year.

Last month, it purchased UK-based solutions provider transACT Technology Solutions to expand its digital transformation capabilities and cloud expertise.

In 2024, it bought a majority stake in Contender Solutions, and it snapped up engineering provider Kinney Group.

This acquisitive appetite follows the investment from private equity firm Clayton Dubilier & Rice (CD&R), which valued the business at $4bn in early 2024.

As of 2025, Presidio stood at $6.5bn (£4.94bn) in annual gross revenue.

Prior to the buyout of Ergo, the company already had 3,500 employees serving 6,600 customers across the world.
