‘Partner Cloud has been built for all channel partners’: Wendy Shearer on Pulsant new offering
The vendor’s IaaS solution will aim to expand its partner ecosystem by prioritising quality and long-term value
Pulsant has launched Partner Cloud, an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offering, to help partners diversify their portfolio, cloud reach, and boost service offerings.
Partner Cloud will now give firms access to Pulsant’s platformEDGE infrastructure, its UK-wide computing platform made up of 14 regional datacentres.
The vendor recently grew its datacentre capability when acquiring two facilities from SCC, located in Birmingham and Fareham.
Partner Cloud will aim to offer transparent, predictable pricing to partners through a monthly operational expenditure model whose billing will start from the point of service deployment.
In the first phase of partner engagement, Pulsant will commit to a 24-hour service level agreement (SLA) to create new services, and a subsequent four-hour SLA for any modifications to existing services.
Wendy Shearer, director of partnerships and ecosystems for Pulsant, talks to CRN about the new offering.
She explains that the launch of Pulsant Partner Cloud is directly aligned with the vendor’s strategic focus on partner enablement and expansion.
She describes it as a response to MSPs and other channel partners’ pursuit to extend their cloud reach and access UK-based infrastructure without the overhead of building their own.
“We're providing the operational, technical, and commercial tools they need to act quickly and deliver new services to market, which is especially critical in the context of rising demand for sovereign UK services and AI-readiness.”
The offering, which has been built “for all channel partners” including MSPs, MSSPs, VARs, and resellers, will be made available to Pulsant’s 140 collaborators across the UK.
“Whether they are developing a product to take to market or delivering a bespoke solution for a specific client, this solution is ideal for partners looking to launch high-performance services quickly and cost-effectively,” Shearer tells CRN.
With this new offering, the vendor also wants to expand its partner ecosystem by prioritising quality and long-term value.
By the end of 2025, it goal is to build deeper, more strategic relationships with partners who are aligned with its vision for driving cloud adoption through indirect channels.
“This approach is supported by targeted marketing, operational backing, and commercial models designed to make partnering with us both easy and profitable, enabling our partners to scale while delivering real value to their clients,” Shearer adds.
