TD SYNNEX acquires Apptium to accelerate StreamOne development

The company brings a team of IT professionals across three continents

TD SYNNEX has purchased software development firm Apptium to strengthen support for partners and expand its addressable market.

Founded in 2014, the US-based vendor brings a team of IT professionals and centres of excellence across three continents.

It serves brands from more than 20 countries across the enterprise, B2B, and B2C sectors.

Apptium’s platform-as-a-service offering enables companies to adopt and implement marketplaces, and emphasises configuration over code to support faster implementation, streamlined management, and accelerated time to revenue.

The platform also empowers organisations to deliver e-commerce and cloud-managed services through an omnichannel approach.

Prior to the buyout, the firm was already a partner and enabler to the StreamOne platform, TD SYNNEX’s cloud portal for managing and provisioning cloud services.

StreamOne aims to put partners in control through data-driven decisions, customer insights, and solutions aggregation.

The company also brings products, integrations and functionality that will strive to benefit TD SYNNEX customers and vendors in addition to expanding capabilities for new segments.

The vendor will continue to operate as a separate entity.

Founder and CEO Rick Kapani will remain at the helm of the business as GM and SVP, reporting to chief strategy and technology officer Sergio Farache.

The tech solutions provider will continue serving its existing customers via the Apptium Cloud Commerce Platform.
