Transputec’s Kuhnic AI division targets £1m in year one
The MSP’s new arm aims to bring a multi-sector, fully-formed AI offering to market
There are many ways to skin a cat, and just as many to weave AI services or consulting into a managed services portfolio.
For London-based Transputec, the move meant adding an entirely new division to tap the automation potential of agentic AI.
Three months in, Kuhnic already has proposals out for nearly £800,000 worth of work and is handling 15 active clients, according to AI strategist Gytis Kandrotas.
The goal is to hit at least £1m in its first year, with ambitions to double or triple that figure in year two.
Kandrotas says the work spans “any department, really” where manual, repetitive tasks still dominate, from accounting to marketing to customer service.
“You could put an AI agent on that job just like a human would,” he explains. “You train it, and then it does the same exact thing — 24/7 and without mistakes.”
The three-strong core team covers commercial, technical and sector-specific expertise, with Kandrotas overseeing marketing and operations, co-founder Jorge Del Castillo Garcia leading the tech side, and Connecticut-based strategist Amir Nasir driving healthcare engagements.
The model so far has been deliberately broad, taking on projects across legal, healthcare and home-moving services while assessing which sectors offer the best fit for a repeatable product.
A legal-sector project with a Californian personal injury law firm is already demonstrating the potential. An AI “assistant” now handles every inbound call.
On an average day, this could mean answering FAQs, checking CRM records, booking appointments and sending confirmations, all without human intervention.
For now, each build is bespoke based on sector and company need, though patterns are emerging.
“We can swap out a few systems for each client and keep the rest as a template, says Kandrotas.
“It’s not quite out-of-the-box, but close.”
The next six months will focus on refining internal “factory line” processes, optimising newly launched paid ad campaigns, and preparing to hire full-time project management support. US customers account for 99 per cent of current business, with inbound leads from further afield adding to the pipeline.
“The cost of waiting is higher than the cost of moving,” Kandrotas says.
“Every month a business delays, competitors using AI are getting further ahead.”
