Konica Minolta shuffle puts services up a notch

Vendor names new leaders to drive print and document services

Konica Minolta has restructured its senior business solutions team with the stated aim of emphasising its channel focus.

Mark Lloyd, channel sales director at Konica Minolta, said: "Our strategy is to support our channel partners by developing programmes that add value to their already successful businesses."

Lloyd said that a particular focus would be tools that enable VARs to win print and document management deals.

The management team will now comprise:

• Yuki Kobayashi, managing director
He joined Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) in 2007, following senior roles at Konica Minolta corporate headquarters in Japan and the US, mainly related to communications and investor relations.

• Neil Dingley, operations director and company secretary
Dingley will report to Kobayashi. He joined Konica Minolta in 2007, and has worked at Dow Chemicals and Sony.

• Jonathan Millbank, sales director
Millbank has had leadership roles and experience in the document imaging industry with companies such as eCopy and Nuance. Millbank will all UK sales operations, both direct and channel.

• Mark Lloyd, channel sales director
Lloyd has been at Konica Minolta for 12 years and was previously managing director of Konica Minolta Printing Solutions (UK) Ltd. Before that, he spent 11 years in the broader IT industry.

• Martin Tierney, services director
Tierney has 25 years' industry experience with previous service management roles in the document imaging industry, and 10 years' channel experience.

• James Goody, commercial and public sector sales director
Goody has spent 15 years in B2B and solutions sales in the consumer electronics sector, and will lead Konica Minolta's drive into the commercial and public sector managed print services market.

• Richard Buitenhek, marketing director
Buitenhek has joined Konica Minolta from the automotive and petro-chemical industries.

• Eric Green, finance and IT director

• Merri Applegate, director of HR and corporate services
