CompTIA unveils code of practice

Organisation looks to polish channel standards with its Confidence Delivered scheme

CompTIA has unveiled its first UK benchmark to demonstrate that its members are committed to its code of practice.

Channel firms that display the CompTIA Confidence Delivered logo have committed to following a strict code of practices that details the minimum levels of service a customer will get from their technology supplier.

The benchmark has been developed based on an earlier attempt by the Technology Channel Association (TCA) to establish a so-called Confidence Assured programme for the IT community.

The TCA was absorbed by CompTIA last October.

Matthew Poyiadgi, senior vice president of global sales at CompTIA, said: “There are many ways in which you can buy technology products, and it can be difficult to decide who to buy from. We encourage consumers to seek out technology providers that participate in the CompTIA Confidence Delivered programme.

“It reassures [customers] that whatever supplier they select, they can buy with the confidence that they will receive the best advice, sound products and superior service.”
