Arc Group makes ‘largest acquisition to date’ with Skye Cloud buy

The deal adds two new locations and 30 heads to Arc’s roster

Arc today announces its first acquisition of 2026 with MSP Skye Cloud.

Founded in 2012, the newly bought company adds two new offices - London and Dartford - to Arc, which now spans five UK locations.

Skye Cloud supports more than 150 customers across the UK, US and Europe, delivering technology and infrastructure solutions to clients ranging from Premier League football clubs to over 30 charitable organisations.

The deal also adds 30 new heads, bringing Beech Tree Private Equity-backed Arc’s total headcount to 175 people.

As a managed services provider in its own right, the addition of Skye Cloud to Arc ensures a wider footprint and brings an expansion of capability with not-for-profit organisations.

Arc CEO James Clayden (pictured) said it was drawn to Skye Cloud as both organisations share a “deep commitment” to service excellence and a strong technical foundation, with around 80 per cent of teams made up of technical experts.

“Following three acquisitions in just over a year, we’re proud to be refining a model that allows us to integrate and scale successful,” said Clayden.

“Skye Cloud represents our largest acquisition to date, marking a significant milestone for our business. It’s an exciting time for Arc, and I’m looking forward to what we’ll accomplish together with our new Skye Cloud colleagues.”

James Bishop, managing director at Skye Cloud, added: “One of the key attractions of Arc is its commitment to providing brilliant service: being able to uphold that same service level that our customers have become used to, was a key driver for us in choosing an acquisition partner.

“This partnership opens new avenues for scaling our operations and driving investment, allowing us to deliver innovative and value-added services to our customers.”

This is the fourth company Arc has welcomed to the fold through acquisitions.

In January 2024 it snapped up Clear Thinking, followed by Nationwide IT Consultancy in October the same year.

Arc’s 2025 M&A activity included Perspicuity in January.

After an acquisitive 12 months, Clayden tells CRN the MSP’s capability roster ticks all boxes.

“From a capability standpoint, our M&A strategy is largely complete: we now have a breadth and depth of capabilities that puts us well ahead of others operating in this market,” says Clayden.

“That said, we remain disciplined and selective; we consistently listen to our customers, review the market and analyse current and future trends to ensure we are focused on the right priorities.

“Where there are opportunities to deepen existing strengths or add genuinely complementary capabilities, we are active in the market and focused on the right acquisitions that will enable us to deliver the best possible solutions and services, both now and in the future.”
