Aspire completes NVT Group acquisition to strengthen Scottish presence
The takeover adds 90 customers and 49 employees
Aspire Technology Solutions has completed the buyout of MSP NVT Group to consolidate its presence in Scotland and expand its focus on mid-sized businesses.
Aspire said the acquired firm’s customer base aligns with its core market in both profile and service requirements.
Founded in 1988, NVT Group supports more than 90 organisations and employs 49 people.
The deal will see all employees transfer to the Gateshead-HQ MSP, with the combined team operating from its Glasgow hub and services integrated into its delivery model.
“We are delighted to welcome the team at NVT Group into Aspire,” said Chris Fraser, CEO and founder of Aspire.
“Our priority is to provide immediate continuity for both customers and the team, while enhancing the service they receive through Aspire’s scale and capability.
“This acquisition strengthens our presence in Scotland, while maintaining the high level of service and support our customers expect.”
Stephen Park Brown, executive chairman of NVT Group, added: “Joining Aspire marks an important step for the business, giving our customers and team confidence in the future.
“Dougie Weir, group operations director and Hamish Fraser, group MD, will continue to play a key role in the business, maintaining strong relationships with customers and colleagues.”
The move comes a few months after Aspire’s £200m transaction with lead investor LDC, alongside minority backer Federated Hermes.
LDC first took a minority stake in 2022 in a deal valuing the company at £85m, which helped fund investment in infrastructure, innovation and hiring.
The buyout also marks the organisation’s third acquisition over the past two years.
In 2024, it took over Glasgow-based MSP Cloud Cover IT.
It also purchased CloudCoCo Limited that same year in a deal valued at up to £9.2m.
The business reported strong momentum in FY25, with revenue rising 28 per cent to £50.9m.
EBITDA reached £8.8m, with 83 per cent of revenue generated from long-term service contracts.
It is now targeting £100m in revenue by 2030.
