Bechtle builds UK AI practice with latest acquisition
The VAR giant snaps up Manchester-based Bespoke XYZ just weeks after completing its first acquisition in Ireland
Bechtle UK has acquired Manchester-based AI specialist Bespoke XYZ as the VAR continues its acquisition streak across the UK and Europe.
Founded in 2013, Bespoke specialises in Microsoft-based AI, data analytics and Power Platform solutions.
The deal also includes subsidiary Savvy, an education-focused MSP covering IT support, Microsoft 365 and licensing, cloud, infrastructure and cybersecurity services.
The acquisition adds 52 employees to Bechtle’s headcount, including an offshore delivery team in the Philippines.
Bespoke generated revenues of around £3.5m in its 2025/26 financial year, with financial terms of the deal remaining under wraps.
The two companies are already familiar with one another, having worked together on customer projects for more than two years.
Bespoke will initially continue to operate independently within Bechtle UK.
Bechtle’s UK AI practice
For Bechtle, the reseller says the rationale behind the buy is to bolster its expertise across Microsoft Power Platform, Fabric, Copilot and AI agents, while adding capabilities around AI strategy, automation and analytics.
More significantly, the Manchester-based business will form the foundation of Bechtle's new AI practice.
“The acquisition of Bespoke enables us to provide a clear path to AI for customers who are often not sure where to begin on the AI journey,” said James Napp, regional director UK&I at Bechtle.
“Bespoke will form the foundation of Bechtle’s AI Practice, which will position Bechtle at the heart of the customer’s AI-enabled business and IT transformation strategy.
“We are very excited to have the exceptional Bespoke team on board and unlock the full potential within our customers.”
Bechtle’s 2026 context as the reseller keeps up acquisition streak
The deal comes hot on the heels of Bechtle's first acquisition in Ireland, with the VAR snapping up Technology First, which trades as ITQuotes, last month in October.
Dublin-based ITQuotes generated revenues north of €30m in its most recent financial year and brought around 20 employees into the group, alongside capabilities spanning IT procurement, hardware, software and deployment services.
The move was itself the latest in a run of deals from Bechtle this year as it continues building out its presence across Europe.
In July, the VAR strengthened its Dutch managed services footprint with the acquisition of Interforce Networks and Interforce Hosted Solutions.
The businesses brought €11.3m in revenues and 38 employees, while adding capabilities spanning cloud and managed services for SMEs.
Bechtle has also picked up businesses in Portugal and Hungary this year, with acquisitions helping drive growth in its wider European business.
Bespoke becomes Bechtle's sixth acquisition across the UK and Ireland.
Its UK buy-and-build strategy stretches back to 2022, with ACS Systems, Tangible Benefit, Qolcom and DriveWorks all joining the fold before last month's move into Ireland.
And the M&A push has been feeding through to Bechtle's numbers.
As CRN reported in August, second-quarter revenues jumped 16.5 per cent year on year to €1.7bn, while H1 revenues rose 12.1 per cent to €3.3bn.
Its Other Europe unit, which includes the UK and Ireland, was its fastest-growing regional segment, with Q2 business volume surging 51 per cent to €532.7m following acquisitions across Europe.
That followed a strong start to 2026, when revenues climbed 7.6 per cent to €1.6bn and Bechtle entered the year with a record €3.3bn order backlog.
Bespoke founders and majority shareholders Sam Bright and Jordan Brookes will remain with the business following the acquisition.
While the immediate focus is on the UK and Ireland, Bechtle said Bespoke's expertise has the potential to be used across its wider European business as the group expands its AI consulting and transformation services.
