US-based data protection and data resilience technology developer Cohesity has named Julien Mousqueton as field CISO for Europe.

Mousqueton brings over 25 years of experience in IT, cybersecurity and resilience, including over ten years at Computacenter France.

Joining the French arm of the number two company on CRN’s Top VARs list as a solution architect in 2015, he entered the C-suite as chief technologist in 2018, a role he held until his departure in December 2025.

Alongside his industry career, Mousqueton serves as a reservist advisor for the Office Anti-Cybercriminalité (OFAC) in France, a specialist unit within the French National Police responsible for investigating cybercrime.

Prior to entering the channel, he worked at Groupe AGRICA, a social protection organisation for the agriculture sector, as well as CPAM de Paris, France’s state social security office and investment bank asset manager Natexis.

He is also the creator of ransomware.live, a platform that tracks global ransomware activity in real time.

“I am thrilled to join Cohesity at such a pivotal time for cybersecurity and data resilience,” said Mousqueton.

“The threat landscape is constantly evolving, and I look forward to working with our clients and partners across Europe to help them stay ahead of cyberthreats and ensure their data is secure, resilient, available and insightful.”

Aditya Vasudevan, GVP customer cyber resilience services at Cohesity, added: “[Mousqueton’s] extensive experience in cyber resilience, combined with his passion for innovation and cyber community engagement, will be invaluable as we continue to help organisations across Europe strengthen their security posture and protect their most critical asset - their data.”

This appointment marks the fourth executive change made by Cohesity over the past 12 months and the third at a regional level.

Three months ago, it hired Harvey Smith as director of channel development for the UK, Ireland and the Benelux.

In September, it promoted Gregory Statton to VP and CTO for Asia Pacific and Japan.

In February, the vendor appointed Carol Carpenter as chief marketing officer.
