Converge Technology Solutions UK has been acquired by London-based investment firm Inspirit Capital, marking its separation from its Canadian parent.

Converge said the deal will support its next phase of growth, with plans to invest in capabilities, expand its market presence and develop sustainable IT solutions.

The reseller added that operations will continue as usual for customers and partners, with the existing leadership team remaining in place.

The firm supports organisations through digital transformation with a circular IT model spanning hardware supply, managed services as well as IT asset disposal and recycling.

It works with various public sector organisations such as the NHS, the University of Sunderland, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and Fife Council.

In August, it also expanded its partnership with Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to include sustainable IT recycling and refurbishment.

“With Inspirit Capital’s support, we have a strong platform to accelerate our strategic ambitions, invest in our capabilities and expand our market presence,” said Tim Westbrook, MD of Converge UK.

“This partnership allows us to continue delivering the consistent, high-quality service that has underpinned our long-standing customer relationships, and we’re excited for the future.”

Ed Beazley, investment manager at Inspirit Capital, added: “We are delighted to support the business as it embarks on its next phase of growth as an independent company.

“This transaction reflects Inspirit’s expertise in delivering carve-outs, and we look forward to working closely with the management team to build on Converge UK’s strong foundations and capitalise on future opportunities.”

The move follows a period of change for the wider Converge group.

The Canada-HQ business was taken over by US private equity firm H.I.G. Capital in April 2025 and merged with Mainline Information Systems, rebranding as Pellera Technologies.

Converge has previously been active on the acquisition front, including its £39.2m purchase of Stafford-based Stone Group in 2022.

Stone Group, which reported revenue of £162.4m, ranks number 26 on CRN’s Top VARs list.
