Distology has joined forces with AI security vendor Snyk to help VARs capitalise on the rising demand for application-level AI security.

The Stockport-HQ distie will provide Snyk’s AI Security Platform and Agent Security solutions to partners across the UK, DACH and Benelux.

The agreement replaces Arrow as the US-based vendor’s distributor across the UK and Benelux.

Snyk’s platform is designed to help developers identify and fix vulnerabilities as they write code, rather than later in the development lifecycle when issues become more complex and costly to resolve.

It also tackles risks introduced through open-source components and AI-assisted development.

Distology said it will support partners with training, technical expertise and go-to-market support, enabling them to deliver services such as implementation, DevOps and consultancy, while driving recurring revenue.

“We’re seeing a growing demand from organisations that need to secure applications earlier in the development process,” said Sarah Geary, CCO at Distology.

“AI is accelerating software development, and customers need a security solution that can keep pace.

“By bringing Snyk into our portfolio, we’re giving our partners a way to step into that conversation.

“This isn’t a transactional sale. It’s about helping customers rethink how they build and secure applications from the outset, which opens the door to higher-value services.”

Tom Evetts, VP of sales and GM at Snyk, added that while AI is accelerating software delivery, organisations are struggling to maintain visibility and control over security.

He explained the move comes as Snyk looks to work with a smaller number of high-quality collaborators that can build capability around its platform.

“We’re very selective about who we partner with.

“For us, it’s about working with a company that understands the cybersecurity sector and can support partners with technical depth, strong pre-sales and local language capability.”

The announcement comes a few months after Hayley Roberts, CEO of Distology, told CRN the firm was laser focused on making new vendor signings to boost its tech strategy.

“We are in aggressive growth mode – not just for the sake of it, but because we want to have more presence in Europe,” she said.

The distie also expanded its footprint in the UK and Ireland through a partnership with exposure management vendor Tenable in January.
